The Word of God, the Bible, stands as the basis of all our faith in God and our daily living. We believe that no other books of beliefs, creeds or guides are necessary. The inspired message from God is adequate. The Bible reveals one God who exists in the person of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This God of Creation made mankind with the power to accept or reject Him. Because of man's sin, death followed by the judgment faces all. But, thanks to God's great love, this does not have to be a fearful experience. The Father sent Jesus Christ to die on a cross in mans' place to remove sin. Jesus then rose victorious from the grave to give life eternal. So, all who choose to accept God's direction can be saved by this grace - unearned love. All a person needs to do is reach out through faith in Christ and take a gift. This act of faith includes turning from a sinful life to serving God, confessing Jesus as Lord and being baptized, immersed, into Him. The Bible also contains the direction needed for righteous living that the receiving of this grace produces. To understand the purpose of God for the church and how it should operate, simple read the Word of God. In other words, all God wants known about Him and His dealings with man, He put in His message to us. |
